The MAS Science Outreach Intern Program Begins Again!

The Spring 2011 MAS Science Outreach Intern Program is back in action! The focus of this program is to provide students with direct experience in the rapidly growing field of science outreach. This semester, our interns will design and implement a new program tentatively called the "MAS Corp of Civic Scientists" in Massachusetts. This program will seek to model the National Lab Network's approach to connecting teachers and scientists to enhance STEM education in the state. Students will learn about the importance of science outreach through assigned readings, classes and discussions, and direct experience performing outreach to public audiences of all ages.
